"Strive for progress, not perfection."
* Mistakes are proof that your mind is growing! I am a firm believer that every classroom should be developed to promote a culture of growth and learning. Students who believe that they can "grow their brains" and develop new abilities tend to have an increase in motivation and productivity in their learning. They need to be able to see the growth through discovery learning and manipulation of the concepts being taught.
GRADING POLICY & GRADING SCALE

~It's important for a student to see feedback on assignments and allow the student time to reflect. I will try to grade most assignments within a day of the assignment being due.
~Typically, I try to not assign work to be specifically completed only at home. Usually most of the assignments are continuing assignments from within the classroom. If your child uses their time wisely, they should be able to complete most, if not all, of the school work given throughout the school day.
~4th and 5th grade are typically challenging years for students academically. For this being, I feel that the year will begin with no loss of points due to late assignments. If having late assignments becomes a habit, I observe the right to change this policy.
